This year (2007) our Land Rover takes us and the Caravan to Italy and we spend it in the heart of the beautyful Toscana between Florence, Siena and Arezzo.

The campsite is sourrounded from green hills and downside from the old villa Norecenni. It is close to the Strada di Chianti and you can go out for hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. Also Francesco offer courses in toscana cooking and winetasting. in a real historical ambiente.

When we go on holiday vacation, the pipes always travel with me. After a little practicing i came over the campsite and a swedish lady ask, if i play some tunes for a swedish travel group before they start with the wine tasting. So I dressed up the highland dress and played some tunes. It was a big surprise for the group.

After entering the winecellar, Francesco takes us to some italian wine secrets.

The absolut fantastic for this night was, that one of the group sing two songs of Puccini and Verdi. The one of Puccini´s Turandot "Nessun Dorma" is our favorite song and it was a specially pleasure for us, to join the group.

Out of the winecellar, we go from the villa to the restaurant for dinner. The complete way i played scottish tunes and it was a real amazing night.
