Latha math! Ciamar a tha thu?
These are the gaelic words to say welcome and ask "How are you?" There are only a few words, I speak in gaelic language, but it is an opener to many people in the highlands. Gaelic is an old speech, with tradition and history and you´ ll find some words in gaelic under the linkbuttons. Some words I found in an translation, some are free interpretations.

Down this site, you´ ll find some information about my hometown Rinteln, which is located in the northern part of Germany, called Niedersachsen with the capitalcity Hannover an 50 km southwest of it. Rinteln is a small city with a lot of smaller towns in the arrounding area and the river "Weser" divide the city into north and south. Rinteln had an old historical center with old houses, museum, two old churches and a pretty nice old townhall. It is an very good stop for vacation, equal, if you want to stop only for relaxing or for activities. On footpathes through the wood of the Weser Highlands you can find a lot of interesting locations on your way. On the top of our townhill, you´ll find the "Klippenturm", a tower, there you have an very good overview over Rinteln and the Weservalley. One of our favorite attraktion is an tour with a "Draisine" on an old train track. For relaxing you can use a historical steam train trip or a boattour on the river. Nearby in the sourrounding area you find Hameln with " The Pied Piper of Hameln", Bückeburg with the Castle and helicopter museum, Porta Westfalica with the "Kaiser Wilhelm" monument, Bielefeld and a lot of more interesting points.

The Prince Rupert School is also located in Rinteln and many young british people was born in the old British Military Hospital.

And sometimes you´ll also hear the pipes calling !!
